FROM ART GALLERIES TO PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTERS
Southwest Minnesota is known for its natural landscape of prairielands and rolling hills. This land has inspired art for many. Today the arts are growing in Southwest Minnesota, from art galleries to performing arts.
Cultural history and Native American art can be found at historical sites such as the Lower Sioux Agency, Jeffers Petroglyphs, and Pipestone National Monument. The region is also home to international and cultural festivals (link).

Lake Benton Opera House

Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant is a family-oriented live drama based on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The pageant runs for 3 weekends in July each year. The grounds also hosts live events at its hillside amphitheater.
